Reblooming, or remontant, irises bloom in the Spring and again in the same growing season. 

The Reblooming Iris Society has classified these iries according to five distinguishable behavior patterns.

Rebloomers (Cyclic Rebloomers): cultivars which complete two distinct cycles of bloom i.e. after spring flowering there is a second nearly predictable period of bloom.

Multiple Blooming Irises:  cultivars which send up bloom stalks repeatedly at any time throughout the growing season, spring to summer and fall.

Repeaters:  cultivars which produce additional bloomstalks with unpredictable regularity immediately following or shortly after the initial spring bloom.

Sporadic Rebloomers:  cultivars which unpredictably produce bloom stalks at varying times during the growing season.  Many perform well on the West coast and the Sourthern areas of the United States however they may not show reblooming tendencies in colder climates.

Secondary Stalk Rebloomers: occur when rhizomes send up secondary stalks in the same growing season.  This type of rebloomer is rare.

The following is a list of irises and the coldest USDA zone where rebloom has been reported in AIS Region 2.  Note: irises will perform differently in different USDA zones and under different cultural conditions.  This list carries no guarantees.
